Be Fruitful!

Be Fruitful is a non-profit community based organization which was created to provide fresh fruit to Los Angeles food banks.  Our volunteers pick fruit from trees on residential properties that might otherwise go to waste, and bring it to local food banks for families to enjoy.  According to a report released by the Los Angeles Food Bank, local food pantries experienced a 31 percent increase in demand from 2008-2009.  Now is a great time to fully utilize the natural bounty that we have, literally, in our own back yards.  As an added bonus, the fruit that we donate is always locally grown and often pesticide-free.
